Alice and Orrin Anderson visited Amanda Jensen on Wednesday afternoon, March 6th. Syl Pinkert's great-grandsons Taylor and Dominic Berger wrestled Sunday, March 3rd at Ortonville High School. After the match Syl's grandson Scott Pinkert stopped at Syl Pinkerrs apartment for a short visit with Syl. Taylor and Dominic each got a trophy for wrestling. Kippy and Craig Randleman spent part of the March 2nd week-end in Alexandria enjoying a mid-winter get- a-way at a bed and breakfast there called the Cedar Rose Inn. On Sunday they traveled to Breckenridge where they met Sid and Jennifer Lien and their little boy Andy who turned seven months old on Saturday• The family all enjoyed a Sunday evening supper there. They then returned home later in the evening. John and Anna Rothi were at their daughter and son-in-law's Dave and Vicky Sager in Dassel the week-end of March I st. John Rothi was an overnight guest of Harold and Laura Rothi at Elk River on Friday night, March 1st. John Rothi was also a overnight guest of Patty and Scott Anderson of Burnsville on Thursday night, Feb. 28th. Gladys Brehmer attended a wrestling match at Ortonville with the DeRon and Sylvia Brehmer family on Sunday, March 3rd. Matthew and /ordon Brehmer wrestled. Mary Worrali went from Friday, March 1 st to Wednesday, March 6th to Fargo to babysit her grandchildren Dalton and Nikayla Wacha. Todd and family from Egan and Rick from Omaha were all home to celebrate their mother's birthday Ludie Stolpman. They all went to the Matador to have a bite of food with friends and relatives. Jim and Lany McKinney made a trip to Arizona to visit Jim's brother in Sun Lake, AZ and enjoyed three weeks in the sun. It was mostly in the 80's when they were there. Lany McKinney will be in the Sports and Leisure Show with Crafts, Gifts, and More, Avon, Watkins, and Tupperware. Stop in to see her at the Sports and Leisure Show on March 16th and 17th at the Ortonville High School. Marilyn Blackman made 25 sewing kits out of plastic canvas and Lany McKinney made 25 also for the Baptist General Conference to send with missionaries for gifts for the women of the Ukranine. Lillian Ninneman and Harriet Kidman went to the Methodist Church in Ortonville Wednesday night, March 6th for Lenten Services. Attending were Agnes Einerson of Milwaukee, WI and Edna Paasche of Ortonville, they are sisters of Rena Bagne, two nieces from Grafton, WI Diane Hutt and Barbara Deuew and nieces Mary Pooler of Glenwood, Rose Regenauar of St. Paul, and Gall and husband Marvin Guess of Bloomington, and relative Violet Ronnie of Starbuck. A potluck was served at noon and birthday cake and ice cream in the afternoon. They all enjoyed Smiday morning breakfast at the Millstone Cafe in Millbank. Mr. and Mrs. Roman Karels and Ellie and Kaylee Helgeson were among guests at a surprise 80th birthday Party on Sunday, March 3rd for Viola Zadow of Milbank. She is a sister of Shirley Karels. Mr. and Mrs. A! Hooser were coffee guests on Tuesday, March 5th at the Roman Karels' home. Larry Walsh was a Wednesday, March 6th visitor at the Roman Karels' home. Wednesday, March 6th dinner guests at the Roman Karels' home was Nancy Rademacher of Bellingham. Wednesday evening, March 6th visitor at the Roman Karels' home was Linda Schank of Milbank. Wednesday, March 6th Kaylee Helgeson stayed overnight with her grandparents Roman and Shirley Karels. Gladys Brehmer among others attended Town Walter's Trinity Lutheran Church ladies aid and heard Rosetta Beutler talk on her trip to Israel on Thursday afternoon, March 7th. High bridge players at the Ortonville Senior Center Friday afternoon, March 8th were Mel Ehlert and Beth Moberg. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The high whist players at the Ortonville Senior Center Tuesday afternoon, March 5th were Rosy Sandro and Emma Swezey. Lt. Robert Pflueger is Now Overseas A recent arrival overseas is Second Lieutenant Robert R. Pflueger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Pflueger of Minneapolis, formerly of this city, who will begin his combat career against the Axis by flying a P- 38 Lightning fighter bomber, accord- ing to word from the 15th Army Air Force in Italy. A graduate of Ortonviile high school in 1939, and former student at South Dakota State college, Lt. Pflueger entered the army December 2, 1942 as a private. He later received flight training and was awarded his wings and commission last March 12 at Douglas, Arizona. He will fly his Lightining as a member of the top scoring longrange fighter group in the Mediterranean theatre of operations, a veteran unit with over 550 aerial victories to its credit.
