Thank You For Your Support Our 26th Annual Big Stone County Pheasants Forever Banquet was held Saturday, March 26th at Sioux Historic Pavilion. Our chapter considers the night a success. A total net amount of about $30,000 was raised during the evening for improving and increasing pheasant habitat in Big Stone County. Most of the money we make will be used to cost share on wildlife plantings and food plots. We are asking farmers in Big Stone County, who are interested in working with us, to contact the SCS Office in Ortonville. Our contact person is Travis Issendorf P/F MN Farm Bill biologist at 839- 6149 or Greg Peterson, Habitat Chair at 839-2323. We would like to thank everyone involved who helped to make our 26th banquet a huge success. We especially thank all of the businesses in this area that supported the banquet in the form of merchandise, donations, gift certificates and cash donations. Thanks also to LaDon Henslin of Bird Island, our auctioneer; Pioneer Meat Market, Dale and his crew for catering; Elmer and Sheila and the Sioux Historic crew for hosting our banquet in their newly remodeled facility (It's great!); and John Green, our artist for painting local print of Split Rock by Odessa, which was auctioned off. 250 plus donor gun winners for 2011: Hasslen Construction, ProAuto Collision & Frame, Lovgren Spraying Service, Dr. Steve Wither DDS Special thanks to our $250 donors!
