The forum will be broadcast live on Minnesota Public Radio and will include over 40 meeting locations statewide connected by satellite downlink and coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension Dean Barkley, coordinator of Minnesota planning on Gov. Ventura's staff Marcie Mclaughlin, executive director of Minnesota Rural Partners Senator Linda Higgins, state senator from Minneapolis Steve Taft, Applied Economics Department, University of Minnesota. The Citizens Forum will be downlinked by many of the County Offices of the University of Minnesota Extension Service. We expect to downlink at the Ag/Family Service Center Conference Room here in safety and health, legal issues, marketing ag commodities, stress and change management and sustainable agriculture. Rural Response is part of the Extension Service's three- phase response to the economic and social crisis in rural Minnesota.
