She will be remembered for the way she brought order to her family, a glint of mischief to the eyes of her husband, and the world's best potato salad to family picnics. Even as Mavis stayed close to home, she also stayed close to the hearts of those who knew her well. Mavis died on Thursday morning, Aug. 7th, at the Appleton Municipal Nursing Home. She had reached the age of 77 years, five months, and 27 days. She is survived by three children: Deiroy (and Pamela) Schulz of Benson, Darold Schulz of Appleton, and Maven (and Terry) Kalberg of Ortonville; three grandchildren: Stephanie (and Will) Sondag, Jason (and Staci) Schulz and Erik Kalberg; one great granddaughter, Danielle Sondag; her sister, Evelyn (and Allen) Lund of Appleton; brother-in-law, Marvin (and Alvina) Schulz Of Morris, two sisters-in-law: Allowese (and Melvin) Becker of Morris, and Mable Schulz of Morris: nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bill, on June 17, 1995.
