RIBBON Cu]-rNG was held last week at Lordan Co. Custom Embroidery in Big Stone City, Co. is holding an grand opening this Saturday, Oct. 10. Members of the BigStone City Corporation and Big .... Stone Lake Area Chamber of Commerce conducted the ribbon cutting presented owner Lon Hermanson, front center, and staff member Lmda Chase with thew first certificate. Ortonville news Gail Maxwell, Phone 839-2207- Jeanette Searcey of Twin Brooks visited Syl Pinkert on Wednesday. ;hirley Goodhart visited Syl Pinkert Friday, Sept. 25th. Last Sunday noon Elda Von Eschen and Vivian Hay came out after church and brought noon lunch to Faith Sprung. They had a good time visiting and eating. Mr. and Mrs, Urban Stolpman attended the funeral of Cel Stoll in Minneapolis. They also spent a few days at Mr. and Mrs. Stolpman's son's home in Mendota Heights. Delores Goetsch attended the wedding of her granddaughter Lynnae Mielitz. to Joseph Bergherr at Alexandria last Saturday afternoon. Alma and Jerry Jorgenson attended at's entertainment the Buck reunion at the Bellingham City Hall on Sunday, Sept. 26th. Those attending from Ortonville were Albert and Clara Lotthammer, Clarence and Inga Koeckeritz, and Herb and Marilyn Streich. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Maatz, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Maatz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Maatz, Mr. and Mrs. Carol Asche and Steve, and Lillian Struck all from the Bellingham and Nassau area. Other relatives were from the cities of Tracy, New UIm, Minneapolis, and Arlington in Minnesota and also Milbank, SD. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bergseth attended the wedding of a grandson in Watertown, SD last Saturday evening. Ken and Jeanne Bel'g spent last weekend in Long Lake. They celebrated their granddaughter Allison's 14th birthday. Rose Van Stralen and Joel Sorbel attended the Fall dinner Sunday, Sept. 27th at St. John's Catholic Church. Last weekend Dennis Gerjets and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gerjets went to Randal to celebrate the 80th birthday of a friend. High bridge players of the Friday afternoon bridge party at the Ortonville Senior Center were Jerry Oehler and Edna Saeger. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. Howard and Anna Beachem and Agnes Thompson and their families enjoyed a visit from their sister-in-law Bernice Thompson of Wilburton, OK Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Bernice and her sister Ruby Shealey of Dardinelle, AR were enroute to Baudette to visit relatives and old neighbors. On the return trip they will visit in Minneapolis and Rochester.
