Sat., Oct. 2nd Audrey Koch was a dinner guest of Gladys Meister in Milbank. Vincent Kvidera's sister Mary Fredrick and her husband Mark from Fairfield Glade, TN came from Saturday, Oct. 2nd to the 8th of October and stayed with Vincent and Diane Kvidera. On Tuesday night, Oct. 5th Vincent and Diane held a dinner in their honor. Those guests there were Frank and Emily Kvidera from Stacy; John and Jerri Van Hout of Big Stone City; Phyllis and Tom Schluter; Rich and Carolyn Kvidera; and Terry and Kathy Oakes all of Ortonviile. Everyon had a good time. Mark and Mary came for a wedding for a granddaughter in Spicer. Mark and Mary Fredrick and Diane Kvidera went to the Redlin Art Center in Watertown on Thursday, Oct. 7th. They thought it was a fabulous place! Jerry and Alma Jorgenson returned on Oct. 5th after spending twelve days in Loveland, CO and Fort Collins, CO with their children Jeff and Nancy and families. Kathy Gilsdorf spent the weekend of Oct. 8th with friends in Sioux Falls. Lillian Ninneman andVidella Roschen went to Willmar shopping Wednesday, Oct. 6th. High bridge players at the Ortonville Senior Center Friday afternoon, Oct. 8th wcrc Jerry Jorgcnson and LuVcrnc Swezey. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The high whist players at the Ortonville Senior Center Tucsday afternoon, Oct. 51h were Warren Drewclow and Pauline Bomcr. A fun time was had by all. Irish Genealogical Society Will Meet at Graceville The International Irish Genealogical Society will meet at the Graceville Community Building on Saturday, October 16. Beth L. Mullinax of the Irish Genealogical Society, International will present a two-part lecture at that time on the fundamentals of Irish Genealogical Research. Part 1 will deal with Beginning Irish Genealogy and will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Part 2 will be advanced Irish Genealogy and that will be from 1-2 p.m. with refresh- ments served after Session II. The event is planned through the Graceville Library, and they hope to have many people in attendance. It should be of interest to all ages. "It is not often a genealogical speaker of this quality visits west central Minnesota," commented Ann Lauer, librarian. Beth Mullinax has roots in Big Stone County. Her grandmother, Elizabeth Mayme Sullivan, was born in Barry. She has been doing Irish research since 1981, and is past president of the Genealogical Society, Int. as well as other positions on the board since 1983. She has lectured all over Minnesota on Irish research, and has traveled to Ireland i 4 times for research and fun! She also has led four research tours to Ireland. f Edi.
