Thoughts for life It is different this time I read. The House has passed the ban on partial- birth abortion but they did it twice before too. The Senate passed the ban but they also did it twice before. The difference is now President Bill Clinton is not in the White House and President George W. Bush is and he will sign the ban. The pro-life community does not expect any surprises and are already celebrating. I thought I would be shouting and yelling about this victory but it isn't like winning a game that goes on for maybe an hour. You could be sitting on pins and needles and then the buzzer goes off and your team is the victor and you jump and shout. If the game had gone on for years and years winning would be more of a relief. I feel more like a joy within that something barbaric has stopped.
