II recycling Page 1O 00INDEPENDENT "... Think About These Things" by Rev. Wilfred C. Hansen PASTOR AT LARGE "Love the Lord, all you his saints! The Lord preserves ful, Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you the Lord," Psalms 31:23 and 24. Courage displayed in the face of tragic happen deeply moving. Often we see acts of heroism in the loss. At times we are at our best when the going is tough: Courage is a trait of character needed at all times and circumstances. Consider the contrast between courage ardice. "l will." "I won't d0t *Courage says Cowardice says, won't. It good anyhow." -Courage says, "I can." Cowardice says, "I can't, l'm able." -Courage says, "Iql do my best." Cowardice says, good enough." Courage says, 'Tve got to go on." Cowardice says, use? Life has no meaning anymore." -Courage says, "I don t know why beat. Cowardice throws up its arms and says, to me?" -Courage says, "No one has ever done this, but says, "It has never ,ben done before. It can't be done." -Co ,ur'dge says, There is an answer to this problem." says, "It s hopeless. Pray the following: God of compassion, you watch the ways of all of us out of terrible happenings wonders of goodness and those who have been shaken by tragedy with a sense love, and hold them in faith. Though they are lost in find you and be comforted; through Jesus Christ, who was lives, and rules this wodd with you. Amen. Adelman raises most in walk Genevieve Adelman of Ortonville thanks all area businesses and merchants who gave donations toward the Alzheimers Memory Walk. Witfi the help of your donations, she was able to raise $444 to be put toward research for Alzheimers. The walk was held at Lake Farley in Milbank, SD, Saturday, Sept. 26th. Genevieve was the top collector in the group. Thoughts for life Information Provided By Local MCCL Written By Cal Kalv.ls Many ofyou will be voting today and we have the opportunity and obligation to rid Congress of pro- abortionists and anti-lifers.which party you favor is a sensitive issue but the facts are the official party platform of the Republicans is pro-life, the official party platform of the democrats is pro- abortion. The Republican Senator leaders voted 100 percent pro-life, the leading Representatives voted 100 percent pro-life. The Democrat leaders have not. The right to life is the core fabric of any "seamless garment" of social justice. When lives of the innocent can be taken all lives are in danger. Your vote can save a human life, God will be happier with that than getting some money for the DNR. Be wise in your vote, voting for a third party candidate who is pro-life but does not have a chance to win will help the pro-abortionist to win.
