Letters to the editor To the Editor: Let us imagine that before the era of trial by radio and television, "Tricky Dick" and "Slick Willie" were brought before "hanging Judge" Jeb Parker. "Tricky Dick": "I object to being booked by a name my enemies gave me." "Slick Willie": "I object to that in my case too." Judge: "Objections over-ruled. Prove by your conduct that the nicknames don't apply. How do you plead?" Tricky Dick .... I have been pardoned. I'm innocent. I was convicted because I made peace with China and stalled Soviet policy in Asia." Slick Willie: "I was never convicted. I was doing a good job and my enemies couldn't stand it." Judge: "You are your own council. Proceed." Tricky Dick: "I cannot understand how my opponent gets support of women with his record of sexual harassment and allowing men to force women to kill their babies or to live in poverty?" Slick Willie: "It has been proved! Pull enough feathers off a chicken so it is frightened and in pain. when released the victim will come to the source of its fright and pain. In the "Stockholm Syndrome", hostages psychologically abused by their captors supported their captors ideas when released. You are dumb." Tricky Dick: "I can't be both dumb and tricky." Slick Willie .... Its airight if you can get away with it. You didn't." Tricky Dick: "I would have been convicted of perjury and cover-up of evidence if I had not resigned. You would also be convicted of perjury and cover-up in a court of law. There is not a shred of evidence that I was involved in the Watergate burglary or that you were involved with examining the 900 FBI files for their blackmail value. "Hanging Judge" Parker: "The rope is too good for you guys. I sentence you two to double occupancy of one cell for the remainder of your lives. You can brag to each other about your exploits. Maybe you will get as sick of it as I am !" Wesley Olson Box 142 Clinton, MN 56225 Phone 320-325-5565 P.S. - It is true. There is no real evidence that Dick new about burglary plans for Watergate or that Willie knew about plans to get 900 FBI files. START YOUR OWN BUSINESS. WORK FLEXIBLE HOURS.
