It will be donated to the Life Care Pregnancy Center of Morris. Please bring your items to Trinity Lutheran Church on Park and Stephens to room 21 on Monday and Wednesday mornings or Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 12:30 and from 1:30 to 4:30. This is a good way to put our beliefs into action, some girls may abort because the financial aspect is too overwhelming. I don't think having supplies available will be seen as being an "enabler" for girls to get pregnant but a place to go in desperation. Anonymous Obituaries LuVerne Carlson Funeral services for Mr. LuVerne Virgil Carlson, 67, 44730 Highway 212 West, Watertown, SD were held Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999 in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Gregory Berkey officiated. LuVerne passed away on Dec. 7, 1999 in a hospital in Minneapolis. Burial with military graveside rites provided by Codington County Post #17 of American Legion, Watertown was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown. Honorary pallbearers were; Don Hoftiezer, Harvey Wheatley, Larry Winge, Marian Raffelson, Brian Seim, Linda Page, Cheryl Meyer, Bob Ilemiller, and Starla Curtis. Active pallbearers werg;, Bill Simpson, KyJe Lindberg Dgtve Carlson, Cory Carls0n, Cody Carlson, and Raydon Lindberg. Music was presented by Eloise Falk, organist and Ron Jensen, soloist. LuVerne was born Jan. 19, 1932 to Leonard and Hazel (Steffenson) Carlson. He graduated from South Shore High School, South Shore, SD. He was drafted into the United States Army in January of 1953 and was discharged in January of 1955. LuVerne married Phyllis Lindberg on May 29, 1955 in the Evangelical Free Church at South Shore, SD. The couple lived in South Shore and LuVerne was employed with Gooch Myrtle C. Semmler Funeral services for Myrtle C. Semmler, 82 of Roseville and formerly of Ortonville, were held Oct. 29 at the Anderson Funeral Home. Semmler passed away Oct. 26, and was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She is the sister of Arthur Chevrolet dealership in He then was self-employed and straw business. He was also a rural mail 10 years. From 1966 to 1981 was employed with Midland and later Olin a manager. They moved to Ortonville and moved to Watertown in 1! Since 1983, LuVerne have owned and still operate Surplus Sales. He was a member of Baptist Church. LuVerne is survived by Phyllis, of Watertown, SD; Dwight and his wife Sharon Prairie, and Guy and his of Watertown, SD, two Julie and her husband, Duane Brookings, SD, and Jodi husband, Kurt Nelson of one brother, Glenn and hi Sharon of Huron, SD.; his law, Mildred Lindberg of SD; nine grandchildren cousins, nieces, and nephews. Extension report Carrie Olson, County Extension Educator COUNTY FAIR 4-H JUDGES' TRAINING Training for adults interested in being part of the project evaluation process at county fairs will be held Monday evening, January 31 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Kandiyohi County Extension Office in W'dlmar. County fair 4-H exhibit judging is done both on the quality of the exhibit and on the knowledge shown of the exhibit by the member. This session will emphasize the learning process of the 4-H member. Participants will discuss the new exhibit categories, expectations of 4-H members, how to ask questions of exhibitors and how the judging process might help members prepare for the future. There will be role- plays, a display of new 4-H educational materials and time to meet with other elevato in each of the major 4-H project areas. These include natural science; plant science; mechanical science; expressive and communication arts; family constmr science; personal groda and development; and animal science (pet, cat, veterinary science). Anonymous Obituaries LuVerne Carlson Funeral services for Mr. LuVerne Virgil Carlson, 67, 44730 Highway 212 West, Watertown, SD were held Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999 in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Gregory Berkey officiated. LuVerne passed away on Dec. 7, 1999 in a hospital in Minneapolis. Burial with military graveside rites provided by Codington County Post #17 of American Legion, Watertown was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown. Honorary pallbearers were; Don Hoftiezer, Harvey Wheatley, Larry Winge, Marian Raffelson, Brian Seim, Linda Page, Cheryl Meyer, Bob Ilemiller, and Starla Curtis. LuVerne was born Jan. 19, 1932 to Leonard and Hazel (Steffenson) Carlson. He graduated from South Shore High School, South Shore, SD. He was drafted into the United States Army in January of 1953 and was discharged in January of 1955. LuVerne married Phyllis Lindberg on May 29, 1955 in the Evangelical Free Church at South Shore, SD. The couple lived in South Shore and LuVerne was employed with Gooch Myrtle C. Semmler Funeral services for Myrtle C. Semmler, 82 of Roseville and formerly of Ortonville, were held Oct. 29 at the Anderson Funeral Home. Semmler passed away Oct. 26, and was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She is the sister of Arthur Chevrolet dealership in He then was self-employed and straw business. He was also a rural mail 10 years. From 1966 to 1981 was employed with Midland and later Olin a manager. They moved to Ortonville and moved to Watertown in 1! County fair 4-H exhibit judging is done both on the quality of the exhibit and on the knowledge shown of the exhibit by the member. This session will emphasize the learning process of the 4-H member. Participants will discuss the new exhibit categories, expectations of 4-H members, how to ask questions of exhibitors and how the judging process might help members prepare for the future. There will be role- plays, a display of new 4-H educational materials and time to meet with other elevato in each of the major 4-H project areas.
